I really dislike the VoIP idea.
by Summers | 17/05/2007 02:12:22![]() Its kinda of an necessary evil for raiding, I get that. But I shouldn't be forced to hear people sing, swear, complain that their loot didn't drop, tell me all about that amazing chick they met last night or say how drunk they are right now. Please consider implementing it only for raid and heroic instances. Thanks. |

I don't personally plan to jump in the voice chat for standard groups and dungeons. I'm not really anticipating running into problems either. |
by Drysc | 17/05/2007 02:58:47![]() There will be a master on/off switch in the options if you don't want to use the system, as I think most could accurately assume there would be, as well as the ability to block specific players. There are a lot of specifics and details left to be worked out, and certainly not ready to be discussed yet. A built-in voice chat system which you know everyone will have access to easily, also with an integrated interface, etc. has the potential to add a whole lot in the way of easily and quickly communicating with others in a more intuitive way, but if you don't want to participate you won't have to. edit - This is a good example of a situation where communication could have stopped me from writing up a post for a thread Eyonix had already posted to. |
