I am having an extremely bizarre problem
by Kungfucrab | 12/05/2010 04:16:01![]() I just bought a new Macbook Pro 2010 and everything has been running great (first MAC). I installed WoW and been playing it for about a week. I had the graphics on ultra and everything ran flawlessly, Dalaran run smooth and loads were fast. Then a couple days ago a very weird thing happened. (This has happened everyday past few days) After playing for 20min-60min the game drops down to 6-10fps on ultra and on low settings it still runs really really laggy. The comp handle the game on ultra great from the beginning. I have absolutely no idea why it all of a sudden drops to crappy fps. Its not gradual, its instant. Please I need help this is very frustrating and confusing >< a blue post or maybe a reference to another post with a solution would be very helpful. |
by Radoslawn | 12/05/2010 14:34:59![]() Hello Kungfucrab, So what you are telling us is that you were slowly suffocating your baby, nice. /calling the people at PACC : People against cruelty to computers j/k To add to what the two posters above had to say, I would go with both a fan control program and a chill pad if your situation warrants it. You basically don't want to run your Mac at 150°F or above for long periods of time, doing so will shorten the life of the computer. Here's a link to the SMCFanControl Program: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23049 No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time. Grab your free Apple mount here !!! (okay I lied, it's a survey) https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=dVmRYNrf0LMIrm5nXlEciQ_3d_3d |
