I have one character on the PTR as it is right now. Whenever I log on to him, I attempt to hearth to shattrath and it crashes. I delete my wowtest folder and reinstalled and everything. He is on the PVP test server.

This is a known bug (in fact the #1 reported bug) in the current PTR build, and should be fixed in the next rev.
