How would YOU defend youself from the Zombies
by Darkmico | 22/02/2007 04:59:25![]() Okay, I'm testing the public mind. You have two hands and a regular sized backpack. You can arm yourself with whatever you want, but you have to be realistic about what you could carry, and specific about what you are carrying. To make this a bit clearer, you are in your home. You have realized the entire city has been overrun by zombies. These zombies are pretty simple in design. They are slow, they only make noise when they smell prey (very keen sense of smell and sound, since those are the only senses they have) this noise alerts other zombies to move in your direction. You have to list these: Clothing (type of material) Weapon held in hand(s) Objects in backpack Objects in pockets (if you have pockets) Form of transportation Judging by your answers I'll tell you how prepared you are for the zombie uprising, and what would happen to you. Submits breaking rules will be ignored. (Using nonexistant weapons, or overdoing your payload of weight to carry) Got an engineering idea and want to post it on the forums? by Coreiel | 26/04/2007 06:12:20![]() I've already answered this question, with an argument nobody's been able to successfully shoot down. In the event of a zombie attack, drive to your nearest Costco. Think about it - you'd have everything you need (food, clothing, heat, water, even beds, vehicles, and firearms), within a massive warehouse with generator power. You could keep ten to fifteen people alive and safe, and even reasonably comfortable, there, for at least a month. Oh, also: Necroing threads is frowned on. I'm letting this one live because it's harmless, but you won't find such leniency in General or the various discussion threads we have. Make a note of it. |

That theory assumes that zombies are made from a disease carried by microbes, infecting living humans, which isn't necessarily the case. You're right, though -- but you know what else Costco has? Pharmacies, and air filters. :) |
