How to kill a Christian (Part II)
by Release | 07/05/2007 15:09:47![]() "He already knows what they are, but he "imbued humans with the essence of himself" -- which ties into the concept of human divinity and the soul. The soul would be the element of the human that allows him/her to have free will." This 'soul' was given to me by God, allowing me to make choices. He doesn't make choices for me. Yet, according to this, his divine 'essence' within me, again, allows me and grants me the ability of free will. This ability of free will can lead to me performing moral, 'good' acts or immoral, 'evil' acts. The fact that the choice is my own is irrelevant. God implanted this essence within me, potentially allowing me to commit an evil act. Thus, this evil act that I may be getting ready to commit is a result of my free will, because God gave it to me. So this act of evil can be attributed to God, despite the fact that I performed it. The evil act would not exist without the presence of this essence within me allowing me free will. And you mentioned God knows what choices we will make, but doesn't make them for us. This divine essence, installed in all of us, allows us to make choices, in which Gold can already see what we will do. The fact that we are making our own choices is irrelevant here. The fact is God created us, and God knows what our actions will be. From what point? Teenage years? Youth? Birth? I imagine an omnipotent, omniscient God knows our actions before He creates us. If so, why would He create a being in which He knows will make immoral, evil choices and be condemned to Hell? |
