Horrible lag problems since march

Hey I've been having horrible lagging problems since the end of February/ beginning of March. I don't think my school has done anything new, and this was before 3.3.3. My computer was using WoW perfectly fine until then. I also don't think my college has changed anything because the internet itself is still fine.

It's the 10.5.8 iMac version.

Also if i need to post more info I will need to be told where to find it since I'm not sure what to look for.

Anyway, the problems have been bad lag of course, but it doesn't happen only in dungeons and it happens randomly. sometimes I can go on for over an hour and have no problems, sometimes it starts as soon as I get on.

Hello Keladrea,

Since lag and latency are two different things, for lag have you deleted the trinity yet ? The old temp files, especially, can cause lag.

With the game closed please:

1. go to your Macintosh HD => Applications => World of Warcraft Æ’older and
2. delete the CACHE Æ’older
3. move WTF and INTERFACE Æ’olders to the desktop*

*gives you the option to be able to move them back and replace the newly formed ones if you want

For latency issues, can you post a trace route:

1. log into the game
2. put it in window mode Command + M
3. go to your Macintosh HD=>Applications=>Utilities=>Network Utility.app
4. select the Netstat tab (• Display the state of all current socket connections)
5. click on the Netstat button on the right (wait a bit)
6. find the first foreign address that says battlenet:

Q u o t e:
Active Internet connections (including servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
tcp4 0 0 my-imac.corp.b.xxxxx 206.17.111.7.battlenet ESTABLISHED

7. copy the foreign address in front of the one that has battlenet on it (ie. 206.17.111.7)
8. select the Traceroute tab
9. paste the address into the box/window
10. click on the Trace button on the right
11. copy the data
12. reply to my/our post and paste that info, please

No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time.
