High FPS, low game preformance?
by Silentmyst | 02/05/2010 08:27:46![]() While using my macbook pro (Apparently a really good graphics card, but I'm not very tech savvy so I don't know what it is), I almost always run from 55 - 60 FPS. But for some reason in game, my game will completely freeze for a second or two. It will happen every maybe 5 seconds, and can cause me a lot of trouble. I just don't under stand why it does this. Also, I swap between my desktop PC and laptop quite often, and even though my PC runs at a lower frame rate, it doesn't freeze. In my "About This Mac" it says this (If this is important at all >.<) Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Startup Disk Macintosh HD. Thanks =) |
by Radoslawn | 02/05/2010 14:34:15![]() Hello Silentmyst, Sounds like a lag issue, basically the time it takes from when you press a keyboard command like "w" and finally see your toon move forward. Do me a favor and delete the Cache ƒolder in the World of Warcraft ƒolder and let's take it from there. The Cache ƒolder stores old temp files but when those files get very old they might have issues syncing with new data, like right after the weekly maintenance. Also are you running the game from your internal hard drive or an external one ? Also at what temperature are you running your Mac ? No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time.
