Since I know you blues like to not be seen around the forums, the shaman ones specifically, I just thought I would ask.

Do you actually read all of these posts? I mean... Shaman are obviously unhappy. All the talk of re-rolling over the past few months and Wrath isn't even out yet, and with the lack of information and face time we have gotten from anyone definitely isn't helping.

The pressure being put on shaman is starting to seem intention imo. It seems like blizzard really is trying to just trying to get everyone playing the class to quit. I mean we already have the lowist class representation out of all of them, yet we still get the watered down abilities that are easily outranked by other classes.

Moral of the story is. Shaman are starting to feel like less of a hybrid and more of the fact that were playing a handicap class to help everyone else be better than us.

What, specifically do you have issue with?

Enhancement Shaman Mana pool size and effiency: they suck in this beta.

My mage, a pure caster who does no melee damage whatsoever and has a crappy mana pool as casters go (~8000 mana), lasts longer then my enhancement shaman (~6500 mana), who has a water shield that gives mp5. I could make a whole bunch of humerous yet probably inappropriate comparisons, but I won't.

You removed our 3 percent hit talent.

Str, agility and int all giving attack power, why make our lives so complicated? The bigger mana pools just mean we have to sit and drink longer when we go oom because our mana effiency sucks.

The idea behind the talent that gives you Intellect was so that you feel good about statting intellect. If you want a bigger mana pool, get more INT, of which you also get attack power.

Hey Koraa, while your here, can you tell us at least a little bit about what your doing in regards to Enhancement survivability issues? On live, I can go over 5-10 mobs without have to stop and heal. When I copied my character over, I was having to heal or sit and drink after about 95% of the single mobs I fought. Trying to fight 2 or more at a time was almost impossible. My guess is this has to do with the Dodge change.

Are you all working on that issue at all?

Was this at level 71? How much dodge did you lose, exactly?

I think the real idea behind it is y'all got tired of us complaining about poor mail itemization for us :-P

Personally I would have been happy leveling to 80 in the expansion with no talent changes, and no changes to the way our stats worked and happily using leather, then dealing with these major changes to the class.

I wish I had a better description then how I feel about my enhancement shaman at this point then, it feels broken, and not even close to as fun as it was before when our itemization supposadly sucked. I play to have fun, and right now enhancement class/spec is not fun, I tried Elemental, felt like a gimped mage who had no tricks.

I like my enhancement shaman on live, because you get in there and you lay the smack down on stuff, in the thick of things. We can save the day by throwing on a shield and tanking the boss for the last 5 percent because our tank got killed. We can throw the chain heals on ourselves and hit all the melee at once, in between our swings. I have absolutly none of that feeling on the beta. I just feel like i'm playing a broken class (and not broken in a good way like the Death Knight :-P)

I haven't tried restoration since I've gotten to beta, but truth bet old healing as any class to me is boring. Which is a subject for another post and something y'all really need to look at :-P

A lot of this might be because of the lack of new ranks of enchants/totems. Are you talking about DPS loss?

Yes, right at 70 and 71 when I copied my character over.

I am just over 16% dodge on live. On Beta, it hasn't gone over 6.5%. The loss is due to agility no longer giving Dodge rating. The ~6% must be my base dodge.

How much agility do you have (and what level are you)? At level 80, you'll need ~851 Agility to get around 16%.

There is a dps loss, and I'm guessing that can be attributed at least partially to the 3 percent hit I lost because of the rebuild of the restoration tree.

The major problem I've had is, enhancement shamans used to be GO GO GO...just plow through stuff, sitting drinking = not fun. But now and it might be the dodge thing that was previously mentioned and I'm taking more damage and casting more heals then I'm used too. My dodge has dropped by about 8 percent from live. (I'm still 70)

Enhancement shamans used to have a unique feel to them. I was never bored playing one, especially on raids, it doesn't seem like an active spec but with no ability to lose agro once you have it besides death you had to constantly be on top of your game to balance damage vs threat.

We also used to have to pick our equipment carefully, and enchants, maximizing our dps was a challange, now it's just throw on whatever hunter gear is available and stack attack power, crit rating with Agility and intellect as seconds, and strength primarily ignored (why bother giving us attack power at all for it?)

Also with the new changes all that work, and our stratagy's become useless the minute 3.02 comes live because of the changes, all gems, some of our enchants become half-useless replaced by pure attack power gems. That's providing they put equipment changes in they've implemented at the same time. If they don't impliment the attack power changes on equipment enhancement shamans will be pointless until wotlk, besides to point and laugh at :-P

Enhancement shamans as I see it, and maybe I'm being alarmist are basically going to be what ret pallys were to most people in BC, "Why the hell are you speced like that are you stupid?"

As a side bar I could care less about new talents, totems or spells, as long as its fun to play a class. I know my fiance who is also an avid player of a rogue feels the same way.

This seems less and less about the talents and abilities, and more about your itemization. You're talking about a feeling with level 70 maxed out epics on live vs. level 71-80 leveling with low agility on beta. Pretty sure if you were in level 80 epics, grinding level 80 mobs you would have the same exact "feeling" as you do grinding at level 70.
