Help for nVidia 6\7\8\9 series users here!
by Eulogy | 30/03/2008 08:05:57![]() Hey guys, I've found that the 160 set of drivers (160.01 to 169.21) really do not like WoW! Here's a simple solution that will help many people avoid many problems, and if nothing else, it will boost your performance with DX9 applications like WoW. First things first, we need to get your old drivers out of your PC. This is simple. Add\Remove programs, and remove nVidia drivers. Let it uninstall, then download this: http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=driversweeper Run it, and select "nVidia display drivers" and hit okay. Windows will force you to restart, which is fine. You will notice things looking ugly and your resolution will be awful. Now, we need to get new drivers into your PC, so go here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_174.74.html Please note that these drivers are for Windows XP and that the Vista ones can be easily found by typing "Windows vista 174.74 nvidia drivers" into google and hitting the first link. These will work with all cards in the 6000, 7000, 8000, and 9000 series. Install those, restart, your PC will be all pretty and happy! Next, on to the WoW fixing. Launch the game, log in, and go into sound options. Turn off reverb sound and hit okay. Restart your PC one last time, and your game should run fine with no lockups or crashes as these drivers are 110% compatible with WoW! Hope this helps some people. You are the only one with the ability to turn this tide. |

Those types of connectors exist. Here is an example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812887001 < |
by Datth | 31/03/2008 16:13:40![]() It's more like a couple of us there are in the same guild and had a raid. We ended up building 3 computers and one felt like throwing a fit and kept BSOD'ing on Windows startup. We couldn't go home in time for the raid so we stayed there for the duration of the raid. |
