While it is perfectly acceptable to attack players of the opposite faction in PvP, calling other players out via the forums is not acceptable, essentially comprises harassment, and will result in a very rapid end to your experiment. Moreover, if you believe that making these individuals a PvP target will resolve the issue, it is quite likely that you are gravely mistaken.

Perhaps most importantly, your assertion that we do not work against the agencies which exploit within World of Warcraft is simply incorrect. There are massive efforts, invisible to the average player, which are dedicated solely to the preservation of the best environment we can provide. It is as if you are standing on the other side of a dam, and calling upon your compatriots to form a styrofoam cup brigade to stem the flow, and accusing us of taking kickbacks from the water because there is a tiny leak =/.

We built the dam, we maintain it, and we'll continue to 'plug' the leaks whenever we find them, and whenever they are reported to us. We certainly do not make money from the sellers of virtual currency. In fact, working against them, and helping players whose accounts have been compromised costs us a substantial amount of money.

If you see a bot, feel free to report it. If you know someone whose account has been compromised, then please feel free to let us know. Our first and most important goal is to provide the kind of World of Warcraft experience that our fellow players want to share with us. This kind of forum 'vigilantism' is simply inappropriate, and I encourage you to make use of the proper reporting channels so that an investigation and appropriate action can be taken.

been there done that. Reporting hackers works 0% of the time. I have reported this one hacker in wintergrasp several times and guess what.

I can only find one report of that kind issued from this account in October of last year. That situation was dealt with appropriately, though.

Were there other reports issued on this topic?

Hate to say it, but killing the toons won't make there be less hackers.

Telling the idiots who buy gold not to, and have them listen, is what will work. However, in this entitlement age, everyone wants something for little or no work. Doesn't matter that I can make 1k gold in about 4 hours of randoms and dailies. They would rather spend money for that gold, therebvy perpetuating the account hacking and the terrain hacking.

Blizzard generally will mass-ban these accounts, after investigating the how. Once they know the how, they plug the hole and ban the accounts. Same with other people using hacks. It takes time. The truly unfortunate thing is as long as there is a demand, these hackers will look for new holes to exploit.

Correct. I'll be locking this thread now though, as I feel the appropriate information has been disseminated.
