Harassed and Mocked by a GM

Ixidron

Hello,

This is just a public complaint I am making about a Blizzard GM. I will leave the name out so that blizzard may look into themselves and so that I may not cause any further problems.

Just today I made a petition regarding an item that I acquired some time ago on my main character, the item being the Ogre Trinket from UDE cards. I have had the item for some time and not had the ability to completely use it and found a problem. The trinket does not state it will remove you from feral forms, or that you cannot go into a feral form while the illusion is active. This does not seem right, so I petitioned to have the item moved to another character, the response I was met with was the first GM.

The first GM began as any GM does, polite and ready to assist any players problem or answer any important questions. It was helpful yes, but then came the insinuations.

I became responsible for the problem and that it could not be solved due to the fact that I had posessed the item for a long period of time. I did not agree with how the GM was rude and made it seem that this error was my fault and that I had overlooked something about the game. I then asked for my ticket to be elevated and that I may speak to a supervisor.

After some time the supervisor made himself known, greeted politely then began to go on a rude rant about how I should have known this would happen, then the GM made an analogy to mock my situation stating " I ate the cake, it didn't taste good, now give me another one for free" Which was not my situation.

I did not ask for another item, I asked for my item to be simply moved. It was not soulbound so that you couldnt use it properly it was soulbound so that you were limited to one item. I do not wish to have another one, I only wish to move the item where it can be used properly. I fail to see how being rude, insinuating things about a player, and mocking them is hardly helpful.

I then asked the GM to give me a website or an e-mail that I may file a complaint about his attitude and way of handling the situation, only to find that he had stopped my ability to speak with him and left abruptly. This is not professional and it is surely not helpful as I stated before.

Please explain why a GM is allowed to abuse the paying players of World of Warcraft? Because that takes the fun right out of the game that I even have to write this.

Did you speak with the Game Master on this account, Ixidron?

To be perfectly clear, Ixidron, the Senior Game Master you spoke with never insulted you or mocked you in any way. He presented analogies of your situation because he felt that you might not understand the nature of the request you were making. He was perfectly professional.

The Ogre Suit, which you reportedly spent a thousand real-life dollars to acquire, has been on your druid for seven months. It seems that if you were truly concerned about this item being "useless" to your druid you would have brought it to our attention sometime before now.

If you have issues with the quality of your interaction with the Game Masters in question, you're more than welcome to email wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com to have it addressed with their supervisors.

Best of luck.

While i'm reluctant to question the language our Tabulk uses - the word "allegedly" particularly in the context used implies some disbelief. It might have been better to not mention it at all or refer to it in a more neutral fashion i'e "reportedly spent a thousand real-life dollars".

You're right, that does seem a bit "leaned", shall we say. I'll adjust. :)

I would also like to nominate this thread for the honor of "Belfy Burn" of the day. WIll it retain this prestigious honor? Only time will tell.

Mess with the talbuk and get the horns. :)

I appreciate the support, but let's not do this, okay? ;)

My humblest apologies.

I will save my schadenfruede (that is probably spelled incorrectly) for private consumption. :)
