Hacked 4 times since Friday
by Forumtrollz | 09/03/2010 11:28:51![]() Alright guys, I already need some more help here. I was hacked Friday and everything was deleted and such but I was able to recover it within 12 hours. My password was "Reset" twice last night, but not changed, which means the hacker is back. But here's the thing - I've run Anti-Virus tests with - Ad-Aware Panda Malware Bytes McAFee Norton and Webroot What can I do, nothings been picked up, no keyloggers, got rid of a few minor threats. I AM buying an authenticator for my WoW account, but how can I uproot this Keylogger that's hiding in my computer? And yes, I've already looked at the main threads Wut. |

?? Resets do indeed change them. Did you initiate this - or did you get an email - and if you got an email, did it ask you to log in anywhere? Customer Service Forum Representative Authenticators! Take a bite (or two) out of crime! http://us.battle.net/security/ |

Then it sounds like you have a very active keylogger, and/or your email has indeed been compromised. Customer Service Forum Representative Authenticators! Take a bite (or two) out of crime! http://us.battle.net/security/ |
by Orlyia | 09/03/2010 12:20:20![]() Scanning in safe-mode and with the launcher up and a bit of gibberish in the login fields will normally catch most of them. But yes, some of them can be VERY hard to get rid of. Customer Service Forum Representative Authenticators! Take a bite (or two) out of crime! http://us.battle.net/security/ |
by Orlyia | 09/03/2010 12:24:34![]() As long as all those are really the programs, any would be good. Make sure you got them from reputable sites. Phishers and compromisers put up fake websites for scanners as well and what you'll get from one of those is actually malware - not a scanner. I typically recommend at least one aimed at virus/trojans and one at adware/spyware. Also, you want to make sure they are totally up-to-date, as in, right before you run them. Don't run more than one at a time either, most scanners don't like to run concurrently and can interfere with each other or even mark each other as malicious.
