Guilty until proven innocent.

Recently, I was the recipient of a 3 day suspension. I received an email stating that it was due to "intended exploitation". I patiently waited until my time was up, and then immediately petitioned to find out just exactly what this meant.

In a nutshell, I was told that a GM had observed me warping around faster than game mechanics allowed. In common terms, a speed hack. This was reportedly observed in Cenarion Refuge, in Zangarmarsh. After talking more with this GM, I was informed that he also stood by the first GM's decision, and I was basically labeled as a cheater and hacker, and accused of running a 3rd party program.

The real cause, as I tried to point out to the GM, was actually very simple. I get horrible system lag when I am in certain cities in BC, *especially* Cenarion Refuge. There are often times when my computer will bog down to less than 1 frame a second, and my screen will literally be frozen while I try to adjust the camera to point straight down. With it pointing down, I go back to a decent frame rate, and can move around normally.

The GM refused to acknowledge this, and asked me if there was anything else he could help me with on this day.

I promptly cancelled my account. I will not give my business to a company that falsely accuses me of something very serious, without so much as a shred of proof.

However, I am willing to re-instate my account if the following conditions are met:

1. An apology. Everyone makes mistakes.
2. A GM or other such staff member willing to investigate this claim fairly, and let me demonstrate my performance issues in Cenarion Refuge.
3. Reimbursement for my subscription from the date of the suspension until such an event occurs.

My account expires on April 14th.

It would be very obtuse of our representatives to not consider the effect of possible latency when determining whether or not third-party programming is present.

I assure you, there was proof; however, the Game Master department does not bear its burden insofar as providing that evidence to those responsible. On the contrary, we will never reveal the specifics of how exploitative activity was or is discovered, as this would allow those previously engaged in said activity the opportunity to circumvent our detection methods.

If believe that your account was penalized incorrectly, the proper avenue pursue is with Account Administration; any ability to overturn the action received lies with this department.
