Based on the Contest Rules, winners should be notified within 7 days of the final judging, which was set to occur last Thursday, July 15. This would mean they would have had until Thursday, July 22, to send out invites to the winners. A total of 500 winners were to be selected by the conclusion of this contest, which means that 5000 beta invites would be given out (10 for each winner). If 5000 people, or even 1000 people (1 week of winners) received their invites via the contest, chances are, we would have heard about it here on the forums.

To clarify, I am not requesting a list of the winners, if they do exist, I am asking if winners have been contacted, or if the contest was canceled entirely. I am not alone in these concerns. If the contest has been delayed, or even canceled, we would greatly appreciate a blue post announcing just that. We don't expect Blizzard to be perfect, but we would like to be kept informed. We are not just going to forget about the contest and go on playing, without a single word from Blizzard (directly) on the matter.

A Blue response on the subject would be great.

Update: As July 30 approaches with no word from Blizzard on the contest, I would like to encourage players (GMs and non-GMs alike) to request a list of winners from Blizzard directly. If winners have, in fact, not yet been selected by Blizzard, receiving a large amount of winner list requests would show Blizzard that we have not forgotten, and we are still waiting for our response.
