GM vs GM who's right???
| by Gankige | 23/03/2007 01:50:12 I made a post in the general forums and some one had said to make a post here as I would get a response quicker here is a link of my original post. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=86839758&sid =1 Anyways to the point here, last night in Netherstorm at Area 52 there were Alliance killing horde. Wich is nothing new. Howerver when you're standing on top of a barrel in Area 52 where the guards cannot get to you may be up for scrutiny. I was killed roughly 10 times in Area 52 while trying to hand in numerous quests. Which pissed me off so I went a little Emo and opened a ticket to speak with a GM. My ticket was answered with amazing speed wich surprised me. Never the less I explained the situation to the GM stating that in my eyes they were exploiting by standing on a barrel which would let them be free from attacks by guards. The GM was quick to give me the rubber stamp blanket statement and signed off. After dieing about 4 more times I decided to take matters into my own hands and got on that damn barrel and unleashed the fury from within. After killing 3 of the god knows how many alliance I was sent a tell by the GM I had opened a ticket with stating: Get off the barrel or I will make you get off the barrel. Now you can take that for how it reads I guess. Maybe he was going to move me or maybe it meant a ban from WoW. I wasn't to sure and didn't want to find out the hard way. Now what really got to me though was the fact that the Alliance were still on some of the barrels killing poeple. And I thought how is this balanced, I'm told to move but the Alliance dude can stay I think not. Now here is where it got interesting, I opened up another ticket to speak with a GM. Which took a bit longer to get answered but it still wasn't a bad response time. After the new GM did his lil "i whoosh in like the wind" statement I unvieled my dilema / story of which I just explained to all of you. Now what is truly bizzarre here is that this GM told me that "Roof Top camping" and anything else that would resemble this i.e. standing on a barrel was "OK IN OUTLANDS" but not ok per say anywhere else in Azeroth. He assured me that it was ok to stand on the barrels and wtf pwn anyone I wanted to inside Area 52. And I have screen shots but would like to keep the GM's names out of this as so my post here doesn't get deleted. Now which GM is right the one who said no or the one that said yes it is ok. I'd just like to know for future refrence. Thanks (and sorry for the wall of text :P ) |
