Function keys and windowed internet latency

I have two questions: The first is regarding the use of function keys on my macbook pro. is there a mod or 3rd party application that i can use to change the default use of the f-keys to be function keys while wow is open, and resume being the default functons while wow is not up? I'd like to keep using them as brightness, volume, etc keys regularly, but be able to use them as a second action bar while wow is open.

Secondly: On my old macbook (first intel release) I had no issues when minimizing wow to use Safari, or another internet browser. My new macbook (2.26 intel core 2 duo w/ 4 gig's of ram) runs extremely slowly in browsers, or even navigating my desktop and hard drive while wow is open. Has anyone else experienced this? Both macbooks are running the same version of OSX.

Hello Dronir,

For the first question:

Go to your Apple Menu => System Preferences => Keyboard & Mouse => Keyboard Tab:

put a check mark in the Use all F1,F2, etc. keys as standard function keys

For the second question:

Does Firefox have the same issue ? Or any other web browser ?

No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time.
Grab your free Apple mount here !!! (okay I lied, it's a survey)
