Forum moderators are <mysterious>
by Faxmonkey | 07/02/2008 23:48:29![]() The following is a complaint, not a request for help, and may include some frustrated venting: This is not the first time I've had posts deleted for seemingly no reason (certainly no forum rule violation) -- no doubt will it be the last. But honestly, do forum mods just delete at random? So many obvious troll posts stay up, off-topic posts get blizzard responses -- but a simple call to intelligent discussion on a game-related matter is deleted. I don't feel the need to lay out the entire story or explain exactly which post was removed, as I'm sure you're more than capable of checking on that on your own -- but honestly, is there any oversight whatsoever to forum moderating? Does anyone ever say "Hey Bill, why'd you delete that post?" -- becuase honestly, the forum moderating on these forums is some of the worst I've ever seen (inconsistently enforced rules, unenforced rules, and random deletion of threads perfectly adherent to all rules). And did I mention when you click on an obvious keylogger's post history, you see them posting the same keylogger over and over for hours straight without any sort of account action -- yet perfectly legitimate and innocent threads may only last a few minutes. http://www.mediocrityguild.com Mediocrity (Horde: 9/9 BT and 5/5 Hyjal) is recruiting: Full time spots for resto Shamans. |

The content of a post or thread is the most common cause for it to be deleted, of course. It may be useful to review the Forum Code of Conduct for more information: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/policy/forum-coc.html That aside, if you have concerns with the nature of how the forums are moderated outside this forum, then you can send an email to wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com. If your concerns are regarding my actions, or the actions of another Game Master on this forum or in-game, then you can use wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com. |
