The link interceptor is a new feature to the World of Warcraft forums that helps place an additional amount of safety between you and outside links, which can pose a danger to your computer and game account. When you click on any link that leads outside of a Blizzard web site, you will be provided with a few options on how to proceed, in addition to some important security-related info.

Update

We have recently applied an update to this feature to address some issues users were seeing.

• Pages will no longer be displayed without a scrollbar after following a link through the interceptor.


• Links will now open in a new tab for browsers with tabbed browsing features.


• Some links within the Blizzard domain were still being intercepted; this has been fixed.


• Various errors have been fixed.
