[Feedback] Stonetalon Mountains

Just finished doing the zone. It's up there as one of my favorite zones now. Few issues, but 95% of the zone was pretty smooth and free of errors.

The breadcrumb quest leading into the zone was a bit confusing. I can see a lot of players running around confused wondering how to get on top of the mountain until they backtrack.

The channel time for the flamethrowers at the beginning could maybe be reduced a bit, it's kind of long at the moment.

Windshear Mine gave a few FPS issues when going deeper into it but it was resolved with a relog. A friend noticed no issues at all on his end.

I noticed that peons weren't aggressive in the Mine if they were carrying ore. Not sure if this is intended, so figured I'd mention it.

For "Mr. P's Wild Ride", I couldn't figure out why the damage for Freezing Beam was so much lower than the Incinerate. They seem to serve the same purpose and should probably be the same damage unless I missed something. The magnetic pull was really cool and worked fine.

There were noticeable texture issues in the water for killing the big fish guy (Cragjaw I think?).

Other than that, solid zone; wish it had maybe a bit more to it (specifically over by the volcano area) but as it is, it's really good.

Unfortunately Stonetalon for Horde seems to be unfinished also. Due to not being able to set the Northwatch Tents on fire with my flamethrower on quest Ashes to Ashes, the advancement on the chain in Krom'gar Fortress completely stopped. I've now ran almost through the whole zone, and found only two more quest I could do, first revolving around killing spiders and second one I'm too low level to get from Malaka'jin.

One specific problem came up during these quests. The mobs at the Venture Co. base respawn fast, and I mean really fast. At certain points I had respawns before I killed the second mob from pack of two. Had to do a sneaky resurrection in front of quest object and jump down to the lake sort of manouver to get the quest completed :(.

Rest of the quests I was able to do were fun, props for Bioshock reference :D

Hrm, how was Ashes to Ashes broken? I'm unable to reproduce this with my beta character. Try and list the steps you took in attempting to complete the quest objective.

We'll take a look at the Venture Co. spawns.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. This quest is currently bugged and impossible to complete. Even beyond the bugged aspects of this quest there are a few fundamental flaws.

The goblins that attack you don't always show up. You are often being attacked by multiple torches that you can't defend against. In addition since you are forced into a specific position (and apparently a specific form) that leaves certain classes at a huge disadvantage for this entire quest.

Telluria gave one example with her Druid. I have a similar issue with my Hunter. The only goblins I was ever able to even target were all in melee range, so all of my ranged abilities were simply useless. There is simply no way for my Hunter to complete this quest, even if it worked properly, if all of the enemies she's forced to melee.

This should be fixed in the next build.

Q u o t e:
Stonetalon – Level 27 – 30. Night Elf Druid. With Fast Track.

Commandeer that Balloon: Bugged out the first time; was stuck in the balloon (it wouldn’t eject me) and could not move or cast anything. Had to exit game. Upon login I fell to my death. I was able to complete it the second time around. Don’t know if it was intended but; when in the balloon I was unable to do anything except turn my character. I am sure this quest could be improved to be more involving.

Gerenzo the Traitor: Did not auto-launch for me.

Free Our Sisters: Would it be possible to be able to use the key while in cat/bear form?

Preparations for the Future: I found Queen Silith quite hard (meaning I died). This may or may not have anything to do with me being slightly drunk on whiskey at the time.

Arcane Legacy: As others have mentioned this quest is currently bugged and cannot be completed. When using the Highborne Prison on a ghost a spirit spawns, but you are credited with nothing whether or not you use the Prison on the spirit.

Because Arcane Legacy is bugged I was unable to get any more quests in Windshear Hold. I suspect the chain may lead you to Thal’Darah Overlook? Ran there but there weren’t any quests to pick up.

Windshear Hold: The Hold is marked as Windshear Fortress on the FP interface.

Beware of Cragjaw: The quest-reward is rather underwhelming for killing a level 27 Elite.

Shutting Her Down: I know this is nit-picking but it would be cool if the rocks could fill up the cave completely. As it is now, I imagine the horde could just climb over them.

A Proper Peace Offerin’: The amount of cheese could be lowered or the droprate increased (You no take cheese?).

Grimtotem Supremacy
: The Alliance Weapon Crate is usable on the Tauren that are kneeling around the campfire @ Grimtotem Post. Is this intended?

Downfall: As a Druid I found this quest reasonably hard, but I am not so sure about non-healing classes.

Commandeer should be fixed in the next build.

Arcane Legacy is working as intended. Sometimes you get aggro ghosts, sometimes you get bound spirits (which give you credit).
