I can kind of understand the 35 second cool down, adds more skill to the ability, shouldn't be able to spam an execute ability every 6 seconds for a low mana cost. But I don't understand the knock down affect... Does this mean that execute causes a knock down affect on Warriors too I'm really confused...?

I don't think this makes sense, our Burst is supposed to be used in conjunction with our other abilities. Using our Kill Shot ability then falling down worthless for however long you determine right after is kind of counterproductive to what we're obviously trying to accomplish with "Kill Shot" don't you think? Unless Kill Shot has been buffed to automatically take the last 20% of our targets life.

The knockdown doesn't really matter very much if the target dies right after the shot, which is what the ability is intended for. It's a little unclear right now because it can also be used when the target is at any health. It's most likely going to only be usable if the target is at the 35% or lower health, and just do a high amount of damage base (instead of the conditional it has now).

If you use it and the target doesn't die, then somebody's a huntard (basically).

That said, not sure if we're going to keep the "knockdown" effect. We'd like to keep it, but if it hampers the ability too much then we can re-work it.

Having to *pray* for a crit and this shot not missing/dodged/absorbed/etc in order to finish off someone will be quite... ridiculous.

After using the ability for a while I'm confident you can "feel" when the target is going to die from Kill Shot. Playing as a Priest, I know when I can use Shadow Word: Death and the target will die. Same for a Warlock and Shadow Burn.

Seeing as I can pretty much time an arcane shot today to kill a target, you certainly do the same with Kill Shot.

So unlike how it originally seemed this meant as a PvP shot only, is there intention to make more PvP only skills so I know what not to waste my gold training?

Like you don't use Shadow Word: Death on mobs before they die or Shadow Burn? How is that PvP only?

Why wouldn't you use Kill Shot leveling or to finish targets off? Or are you talking about boss killing in a raid environment?
