i get this error everytime i put my second disc into install it, anyone else have this problem

You can also try this method if it is just the CDs not loading correctly :

Try copying all of the CD installer files to a folder locally so that you won't need to switch CDs. Note that some of the files may be hidden. If you want to enable hidden files, go to your Control Panel and double-click the Folder Options icon. Click on View, then bubble in "Show hidden files and folders". Hit Apply.

Try making a new folder on your desktop and open up Windows Explorer. Go to the first game CD and copy every folder and files to the new folder. Once that's done, insert the second CD and copy the Installer Tome 2.mpq file there. Copy the Installer Tome files from the other CDs to that new folder. Once all of the CDs are copied, go to the new folder and run the Installer.

The workaround doesn't seem to be working for me. My error was occurring at disk 3, approx 61% into installation. I successfully copied Tome.mpq and Tome 2.mpq to the newly created folder, but got an error ("Illegal MSDos function" or something) at the very end of copying disk 3. I'm trying again but am not hopeful. A little disappointed right now, I'm 2 hours into attempted installation at this point.

Illegal MS-DOS function and Cyclic Redundancy Check happens when the CD is damaged or is dirty. Please check the disc for any finterprints or smudges and clean it appropriately. If the CD is damaged, those can be replaced here - http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww01667p

Looks like we do not have to pay. Have to wait, yes, but not pay.

That's correct. No paying for replacements since you're still in the holiday zone and/or you theoretically should have a receipt ;P

Remember that there's no copy protection on these CDs. Having a friend burn you a copy is an option to replacement.
