Epic Customer Service...
by Kryptìx | 31/05/2010 22:30:08![]() SO, I have not been having a good experience with Blizzard's customer service, and I have been incredibly patient. My original account was hacked some time ago and I was considering taking a break from WoW anyways so I sort of let it go. Months later I return to the game and sent an email request to blizzard's account management team to start the process of unlocking the account. After over a week with no response, I decided to try calling them on the phone. Now I was expecting long hold times, but I have not even been able to get put on hold yet. I have called about 5-6 times a day every single day for the last week or so and not recieved an answer. So thus far, I have been totally incapable of contacting customer service via any medium, that alone would drive away most customers, however, the epic tale continues... I started a recruit a friend account so I could start from scratch, me and a friend leveled to 60, I spent the last of my money I have now on both expansion packs, everything seemed cool. My game time was approaching its end but I had a friend who wanted to play WoW so no problem, sent him a recruit a friend invite, he accepted, purchased the game and low and behold our accounts never became linked, I never recieved my complementary month for referring another customer AND he has no recruit a friend to level with. So having all these problems, I decided since I couldn't get a hold of anyone by phone or email, I would try the forums, but for some reason when your account is frozen you cannot post on the WoW customer service forum. Is there a valid purpose for this? So here I am posting on my friends account a big CS complaint that will get me nowhere, much like all my previous attempts at contacting Blizzard. GG |

It seems that this situation is actually fairly 'simple', though contact with our Account Services staff will be necessary to resolve it. It appears that there was an issue with the payment applied to the account; even if the Recruit A Friend time had been processed, the account will remain inaccessible until that situation is resolved. You mentioned calling 5-6 times a day to get into contact with our Account Services staff. Unfortunately, that approach is far less likely to meet with success than calling many times in rapid succession would be. A handy finger on the redial button can make a big difference.
Actually, there is a good reason why a frozen account may not post on the CS Forum. An account must be in good standing to post on the World of Warcraft forums in general. As a point of interest, you can use a Trial account to post on our support forums though, including the Customer Service and Technical Support forums. While I would like to see this situation reach a satisfactory conclusion, I'm afraid that we're unable to resolve these matters via the forums. Also, if your accounts were not linked when you sent the Recruit A Friend invite, then that suggests that an issue occurred with the process.
