Post or transmit sexually explicit images or other content that is deemed by Blizzard to be offensive. Advocate cheating during gameplay including, but not limited to, modification of the game program files. Impersonate any person including, but not limited to, a representative of Blizzard or World of Warcraft Community. Post or transmit chain letters, pyramid, or money schemes. "Spam" by posting frequent and/or annoying messages in the forums.
"Banable" offenses include, but are not limited to, the following list of activities. Users that are banned will be permanently banned from posting. There will be no warnings for first time offenses, and there is no appeal process once banned. Transmit any unlawful, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content. Offensive or damaging links Users that post links to "browser bombs" which open up multiple windows or sites with offensive content will be banned.
Posting Cheats, Hacks or Trojan Horses Users that post links to cheating or hack programs will be banned. If you wish to report information regarding cheats or hacks to Blizzard, send it to hacks@blizzard.com. Do not post it to the forums.
Harassment Harassment occurs when a World of Warcraft Community user targets another individual to cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention, or other personal discomfort. Blizzard does not condone harassment in any form. While you may disagree with someone's point of view, personal attacks, or attacks based on a person's race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disablement or other such affiliation, are prohibited. If you have a disagreement with someone's point of view, address the subject, not the person.
Posting harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, content about individual Blizzard employees. This includes the posting of email addresses, street addresses, or phone numbers of individual Blizzard employees.
Objectionable Content World of Warcraft Community is a gaming community oriented service composed of many different types of people. The use of vulgar or abusive language, even if masked by symbols or other characters, or engaging in other impermissible behavior, may result in the poster being banned from this site.
Sexually Explicit Images World of Warcraft Community prohibits the transfer or posting of sexually explicit images or other content deemed offensive by Blizzard Entertainment. Your access may be terminated immediately and you may be subject to civil liability and/or investigation and prosecution by law enforcement.
Impersonation This can involve the portrayal of another person, such as employees of Blizzard Entertainment or World of Warcraft Community representatives. Users must avoid the portrayal of Blizzard employees in all forms of online communication, including, but not limited to, user names, user profiles, voice, text or graphic chat and message postings.
Chain Letters, Pyramid, or Money Schemes Transmission of chain letters and pyramid schemes of any kind is not allowed in the World of Warcraft Community forums. These materials are considered a nuisance by many users and certain chain letters and pyramid schemes may be illegal. Users that create posts for commercial purposes or any posts that are designed to generate money for themselves the individual who creates the post is subject to being banned.
Spamming Your access to World of Warcraft Community forums may be revoked for posting frequent and/or annoying messages in the forums. An example is posting the same message to multiple forums. If repeated spamming occurs, we reserve the right to delete your posts and ban you from this site, without prior warning, at the sole discretion of Blizzard Entertainment, and all decisions of Blizzard Entertainment regarding any violations of these guidelines are final.
These guidelines shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Those who choose to access the forums from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. Blizzard may change these guidelines at any time and in its sole discretion. It is your responsibility to understand the guidelines currently in force and conduct yourself in accordance therewith.
