Report people for things like verbal abuse and swearing?

Cuz sometimes I want to but I figure so many people do it, it probably gets annoying, and GMs are just people too who, although they are probably very dedicated and commited to their job, could care less that some guy said a bad word in trade chat.

I guess my real question is as follows: does Blizzard like it when players police the World of Warcraft, or do they prefer to find and deal with volations themselves?

Our harassment policies and, in turn, policing, tend to lean towards more reactive than proactive.
