Didnt you people recieve sensitivity training

Seriously, my beta account recieved a 24 hour ban for a name considered against policy.

The word in question has other meanings and if its against the rules it shouldnt even get through whatever name filter you have, its not like I used goofy characters or disguised the name to get it through the filter.

You guys recieved sensitivty training back in 2006, does someone seriously need to call a lawyer to get your new GMs the training because you cannot comprehend the fact that some words in the english language have other meanings and that not everything is a homoerotic reference or gay bashing word?

Does someone need to get you a copy of our Naming Policy and a sheet of paper that says "Don't violate this" with an arrow pointing to it?

Yes, I think someone does, because the specific reason it got overturned is what led you guys to recieve sensitivty training in the first place.

As for the naming policy its an absolute joke, if you actually cared about naming policies, when one name gets changed you would force name change across the entire game instead of towards one person, the only reason that one person probably got reported in the first place was most likely because some idiot got mad and threw a tantrum.

You really, truly think that the name "Queerbait" is appropriate for this game?

This is the crux of your argument?

And don't even try to tell me it was an innocent name given the other names on the account.

I'm pretty sure that there are rules against kicking a man while he's down, Mr. Ungulate.

I have such a low tolerance for these kinds of shenanigans tonight. I will not have our integrity brought into question by someone using buzzwords to cover up their own ignorance of or willful dismissal of our policies. It will not happen.

I think the message was received. Let's not let the thread degenerate into needless chiming-in--instead, I'll encase it in digital bronze, a lustrous metallic monument for our descendants to gaze upon in wonder and say "Did people really make these kinds of arguments in the olden days?"
