Cooking without Fishing?

I never took up fishing, because I simply hate it. I'm now lvl 62 and at lvl 262 cooking.

Am I screwed if I can't fish? What recipes can I obtain that don't involve fish at that level?

It sounds like you need either some Charred Bear Kabobs or Juicy Bear Burgers! oh so yummy mmmm...


Oh, right, details, they'll be purchasable from either Bale (Horde) or Malygen (Alliance) in Felwood in patch 2.4, they'll use meat added to level 48-56 bears, and they will require 250 skill to learn so you won't require fishing to get to 300 cooking.

Leveling cooking only became a problem a few months ago when some changes were made to recipes and it left pretty much no non-fishing recipes green or yellow from 275 to 285. These new recipes will bridge this gap and make things flow much better for all the non-fishing-cooks out there... though if you do level your fishing, I'm sure things will still be nice and easy for you. :)
