Compensation for Players on Select Realms

Players with accounts active during the down time housing characters on the below realms should now see the 24-hour game time credit added on the Account Management page. -- As many are aware, the below realms were down for extended periods of time from 11/23/2009-11/25/2009 due to some hardware issues. Given that these realms were not playable for this period of time, we will be crediting all accounts that have characters on these realms with 24 hours of game time. This credit will be applied to all affected accounts within the next couple of days. To help avoid confusion, we’ll make a new post to notify you once the credit process is complete for all accounts. At that time, you will be able to check the Account Management page to verify the game time has been successfully added to the account. Thank you for your patience and understanding. These realms were down for an average total of approximately 19 hours between the dates listed. In order to account for this, we've given players on these realms 24 hours of credited time. The point is to be courteous to those who suffered unexpected down time when attempting to connect to these realms. |

I did mention in my previous post that we did the math and analyzed the down time experienced by each realm on the list. We totaled up the highest amount of down time experienced by some of the most impacted realms and provided compensation to all affected realms equivalent to more than the total down time of any of these realms. We understand that even a few hours of down time at a time of day when most people have their only opportunity to play feels more like an entire day lost, rather than just a few hours. This is why we try to credit players with more time than that for which the realms were actually down. [ Post edited by Zarhym ] |
