We've added yet another in-depth interview with one of World of Warcraft's millions of players for our five-year anniversary site. Luek from U.S. realm The Underbog shares his views on his last five years of dynamic and fluctuating gameplay focuses, particularly with regard to PvP, and provides some insight on where he sees himself once Cataclysm arrives. Check out the anniversary page for our full discussion.

Q u o t e:
bleh, you guys already interviewed enigma for PVE, should of been a strictly PVP interview. Too many PVE questions imo, and the PvP questions were not in enough detail. Maybe a question like

"how do you feel about so many 'cleave' teams in PvP?" for example.

The focus of these interviews is on five years of play experience from random players with different perspectives within the community. We may continue doing these interviews in the future without tying them into the five-year anniversary, in which case we may dig deeper on specific subjects.

Q u o t e:

Why wouldn't they interview the faces of their e-sport rather than some random guy? They run multiple cash money Arena tournaments every year and most PvP players recognize these names. Why not interview those people?

The idea is not to interview the people everyone knows. We didn't go to the top raiding guild in the world. We didn't go to the top Arena player in the world. We're searching around for players to share their perspectives on the last five years of World of Warcraft. We're not looking for the best of the best. Maybe we're looking for you. :)

Q u o t e:
ESPN doesn't grab the streetball player from the local playground to interview them about basketball so you can relate when an anniversary comes around. Pretty sure you're going to get a Michael Jordan interview.

That's not an appropriate analogy. This is a celebration of five years of World of Warcraft. To mark the occasion, we're finding random members of the community with varying perspectives on gameplay and asking them to share their stories. It's not about the best of the best. It's about the people who made this community what it is.

Now, if we want to do an interview specifically on what it takes to be the best in Arenas, maybe we'll go for the eSports pros. They typically get plenty of time in the spotlight though.
