Client Install Crash
by Bigmeancow | 07/04/2010 20:57:10![]() I just recently got my hacked account back. Long story. Anyways I uninstalled the trial I was playing, logged into Battle.net and started the WotLK client download. It was pretty much freezing or crashing my comp at 33%. I have followed all the solutions on the Blizz support page and browsed this forums and others for a solution and Ive got nothing. What I have done: -Opened ports for the Blizz Downloader -Completely removed Google Desktop Search -Ran malware scans and registy cleaners -Disabled startup programs -Updated network drivers -Attempted download in Safe Mode Final step I took was to disable startup programs. Through the client download I was able to hit about 90% and it bluescreened me. I tried again and bombed at 14%. To make a long story short, I put the 15 bucks down to reactivate my account and I want to get this fixed ASAP. System: Windows 7 AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 5600+ 2.80 GHz 3.00 GHz RAM NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce430 NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Any help will be GREATLY appreciated |

In many cases, it's just a bad network card driver but you updated that already. Try turning off Automatic Restart and get a sheet of paper and a pencil/pen ready. http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21033 Tech Support "I explode the healer with my awesome damage" - Ghostcrawler https://www.surveymk.com/s/H2S6NPZÂ |
