I managed to (accidentally) hit Tricks of the Trade against someone who was in Ignis' Slag Pot last night, and I got a nice "Immune" message. "Ok, sort of normal I guess", I thought.

However, the cooldown on TotT never reset for the remainder of the fight (which was much longer than 30sec), ever after dropping combat. In fact, it didn't even seem to START the cooldown. It was as if the ability were still in the "waiting for you to do an action" phase, just after casting.

Only until zoning out of Ulduar (portal back to Dalaran) did the cooldown start ticking down.

TotT seems like it applies buffs to both the casting Rogue, and the target... perhaps the cooldown reset detection only goes off the target's buff fading, and since it never faded (since it was never applied), it never reset? Or perhaps since the target never got the buff, the ability remained in it's first "stage", waiting for me to perform an attack that gets threat transferred to the target?

Obviously, I wasn't able to reproduce this on demand, since we downed Ignis - I can try it again, next time we're in there :) I'll also remember to grab a shot of the combat log, next time, if need be.
