I posted this on the PVP forum, but in the event that this is a bug and not just a strange working-as-intended feature:

I formed a new 3v3 last night with 2 other players. The three of us were the only ones who played on this team, and each of us played in all 31 games. The team rating, however, is now 1838 while our personal ratings are 1741. I was led to understand that if no team-hopping occurs, TR and PR should match... this is not the case. Every game we play, the gap between TR and PR increases... we suspect that even should we get our team to Gladiator range, its members will not be within the 100 or 150 pts necessary to receive the title.

What is going on here?

The rating system is working as intended, your personal rating can change differently than your team rating depending on the team that you are playing against.

This was done to help eliminate arena exploits.

When Season 4 starts this should be less of a problem as all teams will be starting from the same point value again.
