[BUG] Tailoring trainers confused
by Skairum | 14/10/2007 21:06:11![]() I haven't learned tailoring yet. In Silvermoon, the Apprentice Tailor won't open a training window for me (just an empty gossip frame), but the Master Tailor will train me in Apprentice Tailoring.... by Kisirani | 26/10/2007 01:00:09![]() This isn't a bug. Per the updated patch notes: • All primary profession trainers outside of capitals (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring) have been changed to train up to Artisan level (skill level 300) in their respective professions. • The capital cities now possess Artisan level trainers for the primary professions they support, and are surrounded by their newly-dubbed Apprentices where applicable. Please visit your local Master trainer when you wish to train. The functionality of trainers in the world has been changed. Go to the local Master Trainer when you need training. (Yes, this means you can train Artisan enchanting outside of Uldaman.) |

*light bonk* Jewelcrafting is still only located in Exodar and Silvermoon (outside of Outland, naturally) because it is an expansion-only profession. Those trainers were already training up to Artisan. :) |

Toivo is correct. I'm sorry for the ambiguous wording, but your attempt to insinuate that "blue" has stated something we clearly have not is not going to work here. ;) Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning are still primary professions. They have always been Artisan level, however, and thus are not affected by this change. To put it as plainly as I can manage: If a profession was trainable in an Azerothian city before, that profession can now be trained there from 1 to 300. We didn't, say, add an Engineering trainer to Darnassus, but the professions that are supported there now train up to Artisan level. In addition, all primary profession trainers outside of cities that trained lower ranks now train 1-300 as well. I apologize for the confusion, but this is a beneficial change to the way professions function. You now no longer have to seek your Expert trainer in one particular city, or your Artisan trainer out in the wilderness. |
