Sorry if its been mentioned already but go figure, search still hasn't worked in ages.

But it seems that linking ANY of the ______ items (monkey, intellect, invoker, etc) right after you loot the mob and linking it from the chat channel will produce a link of the item without its proper attributes. (i.e. linking a [Alabaster Shoulder of the monkey] directly from the loot dialog in the chat channels after looting will produce [Alabaster Shoulder]
Opening your inventory and linking the item from there will properly link the item.

Although not working exactly how we would like this is the way linking random attribute items from within the chat interface has to work at this time. You should still be able to link the proper stats by linking the item from your inventory.
