[BUG] Greater Heal
by Zantisha | 08/03/2007 23:12:45 For the past few days I've noticed that greater heal will cast and complete but the target does not appear to receive healing or a msg in my combat log that states the spell was cast. I'm very certain that this is not a lag issue. A few other priests I've asked if this has happened too have said they've noticed this as well. Some places that this has happened is Botanica, Karazhan and a few times last night in heroic blood furance. All other heal seem to be working correctly. Let me know any other information that might help. |
by Hortus | 09/03/2007 01:34:52 Hi Zantisha, I'm seeing a lot of posts about this and we're investigating it. Can anyone tell me how they are casting Greater Heal? Are you using a macro, are you casting on an already selected target etc? the more information the better. |

| by Hortus | 09/03/2007 02:43:45 Just to be clear, as Duman said there are situations where a character can die at the same moment that a healing spell goes off and the spell completes without healing. This is a limitation of the client-server system and not something we can really fix. The issue that is concerning me is players who are not being attacked and are not low on health not getting the heals. |

| by Hortus | 09/03/2007 07:25:30 We've tested this pretty throughly today and have yet to reproduce the issue internally, there may be some other factor that we are not taking into consideration. If anyone can provide additional info to help us re-create this please post it here. |

Such as Prayer of mending or holy nova? Also can anyone get this to reproduce in a controlled environment? such as just healing another player who's not fighting anything? |

Unless some one can provide steps to reliably reproduce this issue in a controlled environment there is nothing else that I can do. ...and when I say reproducible steps i don't mean "just play a healer" or "heal in a Karazhan raid". We have many healers working in QA and have run through all of Karazhan many many times without ever encountering this issue. |
