If you keep one ring the same but swap the slot it is in between two profiles the equipment manager will not properly equip the two rings set in the 2nd profile. If you continue to press the gear set eventually it will equip the rings properly but requires three presses if the ring was swapped from top to bottom and two presses if it was swapped from bottom to top.

Same goes for trinkets.
