[BUG] Compiled weapon size "bugs"
by Menetus | 26/03/2008 21:26:29 After noticing the Tauren weapon shrinkage problem other people started telling me about things they had noticed. After a bit of research and asking around i decided i'd make a list of everything i found out so that all this information could be in one place, this way it can easily be forwarded to the group responsible of fixing such problems. if anyone who has been playing certain races for a long time can verify these or add new ones please post it and i will add them here. Some of them don't need verification.. like the tauren shrinking weapons. if this belongs somewhere else, please move it accordingly ! oh and don't panic ! most of these are very minor and only noticeable if you really look. I didn't want to post it because now everyone will see them, but in the end i think it's for the best if they can all get resolved at the same time, preferably before the expansion ! NOTE: some of these are apparently "intended" as a fix to reduce clipping through the floor (I want a link to whoever asked for this..), some of these, however, are obviously unnatural ! Here goes: =============================================================== =========== Bloodelf Female [Verified] 2H weapons (only) appear a bit smaller when unsheathed Bloodelf Male - Draenei Female [Verified] 2H weapons (only) are smaller when unsheathed Draenei Male - Dwarf Female - Dwarf Male 2H weapons larger when sheathed, but also when unsheathed so everything's fine ! (mostly) Gnome Female All weapons smaller when sheathed (especially noticeable with 1h maces, such as Gladiator's Pummeler) Gnome Male All weapons smaller when sheathed Human Female [Verified] All sheathed weapon huge! Human Male - Nightelf Female 2h weapons little bit smaller when unsheathed ( i can't see it) Nightelf Male 2h tiny bit smaller when sheathed (noticed mostly by players with staves) Orc Female all looks ok, (shields could probably use a slightly different attachment point, and they seem to be bigger then they used to be (try on a Skullflame Shield)) Orc Male - Undead Female excelent! Undead Male all right hand weapons appear to be smaller when unsheathed (includes 2h) Tauren Female any weapon in either hand is bigger when unsheathed Tauren Male [Verified] any weapon in either hand is smaller when sheathed Troll Female - Troll Male Right hand weapon (2h seem ok) bigger when unsheathed (Could also be the complete opposite, smaller when sheathed, left hand small when unsheathed. by Hortus | 27/03/2008 00:52:28 Tauren 2 Handed weapons, Female human and Male Dward 1 handed weapons are all intended changes. As I have said before If you do not like it please post in the general or suggestions forum. Posting here will do you no good. Undead and Troll weapons are bugs and will be fixed in a future patch. As far as I am aware there have been no other changes to weapon sizes since 2.3. It there has please provide screenshots of before and after the patch and I will investigate. |
