Broken quest GM refuses help

Morgueant

This eve i solod 3 lbrs bosses and a dragon in dustwallow to acquire thw UBRS key. I got as far as the last step, i received my forged seal acsecion. When i return to lbrs to turn it in he has no quest for me to turn in. I had to logg briefly and when i returned the ticet was closed with no comment in my ingame mail. so i checed my personal email just to see, well they suggest i REDO the entire QUEST!

I have the quest item in my invemtory. what more proof is needed to prove the quest is broken? I think it's excessive to ask me to redo 4 hours of a quest when i have the item in my inventory to prove it's broen. I also would have appreciated an in game mail indicating that something had been emaied to me.

I'm sorry if there was any confusion caused by our communication Morgueant.

In this particular quest - you need to find a seal in it's natural state as it's found on the creatures in there. Once you have that in your possession, he should speak with you.

In most cases, redoing the quest is a viable option, it's just not necessary in this instance.

Also in a chain quest - redo sounds a bit scarier than it usually is. You'll never lose more than the last step in a chain, you should never have to go back to the beginning in a multiple stage quest.

Hope that helps.

thats not what my email said , quote "After some research, it has been determined that the quest which you reported should be functioning properly. Game Masters are unable to provide hints
regarding how to complete this quest." Unquote, thats doesnt sound like a known bug, he claims it's woring? which is correct?

Let me make sure I understand the step you are on Morgueant. You have done the firing step and have gone back to try to turn it in?

If so, kill creatures in there till they drop an unadorned seal, have that in your inventory - and he should speak with you.

That is not the way the quest is designed...but it will make it work :) It is a known issue.

cool i'll acquire another unadorned seal, however the quest IS broen as the unadorned seal is destroyed when the forged one is made. I gues obscure quests like this aren't worth the effort to repair.

And yes in this case dropping the quest warns you that the forged seal will be detroyed, the 'step back from that is the 3 bosses in lbrs.

Thanks for responding so quickly!

Actually - if you drop it at that point - speak to him, he gives you another kit. Most quests where items are supplied function in that way.
