Blizzard you've won me over with tanking.
by Koka | 07/09/2008 09:46:58![]() I did 10 man Naxxramas today (did 3 bosses in spider wing) on a level 80 Warrior (Prot) premade, and I have to say it was really fun. We had two Prot Warriors as the main tank and off tank, AoE tanking was not "stressful" I would say it was pretty easy and fun, and Shockwaves stun came in very handy during boss fights (specifically the first boss in spider wing), giving time to thunderclap and demo shout easily pulling multiple mobs off healers. When I first started doing Karazhan long long ago, I was the off tank for my group, and was Arms spec'd, no way they would want me spec'd prot (not that I wanted to at the time) since I was useless on fights without adds. I can easily see people bringing a Prot spec off tank in 10 mans, since there DPS is very good, although this could be due to tanking in PvP gear, but even so a Prot Warrior in DPS gear will do very well I think on bosses without adds. Anyways coming from a Warrior that hated Prot Spec, and disliked tanking most of the time, and the majority of the time just did Arena, I'm going to raid as Prot in WotLK =) PS: Still not PvPing as Prot though, buff Arms kthx. Also keep Enraged Regeneration no matter how much people complain, Shield Wall+ER will be great against double DPS in 2s =P |

Woot. Glad to hear it. If we can get Prot pallies, bear druids and tank-spec'd death knights feel the same way, then we'll be happy. |
