Blizzard should let all re-rolls start at 55.
by Hauberk | 05/06/2009 06:02:12![]() I remember a topic concerning this, and I read it but I was leveling my first toon (more appropriately my first toon to 80), and felt although it could be quicker and the instances more populated, it was however appropriate. Now I want to roll an alt, but I lose all motivation after half a level. I think about all the zones I'm going to have to go through, Wetlands, Duskwood, Tanaris, Thousand Needles, Hillsbrad. Killing beetles, alone. Not to demean your effort Blizz, but haven't I suffered enough 1-60? An alt can't do battle grounds, can't raid, can't fly, can't ride, I don't even have half the abilities because you balanced the game around being 80. I know the core argument is that --- "everyone would have one of every character!!" This is why there's so many DK re-rolls, because people want an Alt and soon as they log in to as Level 1 they log back out and decide that their old character isn't that bad. At the very least, starting alts at 55 would allow you to get a better feel for each class . Am I supposed to level each class to 80 to decide if I like it? If that's the case, allow test characters who are locked at 55. |

We've seen requests to add a /level or similar feature before. I can tell you, this is not something we have plans to implement currently, or in the near future. We believe that there is still value and entertainment to be had in the various Terrestrial Azerothian zones. |

Well, aside from other changes, we've change the amount of experience received from quests and mobs from early level on. That should help alleviate much of the time between levels and make for an overall more fun leveling experience. |

Wait, if I was A.D.D., wouldn't the grind affect me more? I mean, wouldn't I lose interest in it even more quickly? That is, if it's as linear as you describe it. Thankfully, I haven't found it to be. I do, in point of fact, have several alts that I've been working on for the last 2 weeks. Playing less than 3 hours a day, I'm afraid. Still, they are reaching maturity rather quickly. The one I'm most enjoying is a nifty hunter. She's already 54 and the pets are fun. I've got a gorilla named George - he's curious about things. I haven't found the situation to be nearly as dire as your portrayal indicates. So long as I quest, the levels seem to fly by. I suppose that's what you'd expect from a "morhead." |
