Blizzard backround downloader problem

I have the firewall program Kaspersky. It found the blizzard downloader and took it off saying it was a Trojan.

10/19/2009 5:29:02 PM Detected: Backdoor.Win32.Agent.alxl Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host C:\USERS\PUBLIC\GAMES\WORLD OF WARCRAFT\BackgroundDownloader.exe

this is the report and every time i repair WoW it will take it off again.

plz help.

Hi Ishikewa,

We sometimes get false positives from some antivirus programs. Did this just happen today after you updated your antivirus definitions? Luckily this file isn't needed for the game itself but the patches tend to need it.

It's not showing up on Virustotal with Kaspersky definition 7.0.0.125. Have you checked the file to see if it's legitimate? Try downloading a program called HashTab (http://beeblebrox.org) and check the BackgroundDownloader file itself. Its MD5 checksum should be
6C2CC93D435FFA91DE9DA99D0293AA58
