Biased Forum Moderation
by Theloris | 11/05/2010 23:17:51![]() On the Windrunner realm forums I've noticed any negative threads regarding a specific guild tend to get deleted quickly. Today there was a post about how two members of this guild colluded on loot in a pug, a dk rolling on a caster trinket to give to his guildmate claiming it was best-in-slot for dks, and the thread has already been deleted. I've noticed this happen 3 times myself, and I'm sure there are other instances I've missed. Next to them are other posts about people ninjaing items that are left alone. Also if you look through a thread posted by this guild you'll notice large gaps in the posting numbers where any negative posts are being removed. This has happened enough that I have to believe it's on purpose for some reason to protect this specific guild. I'd like to know why we're being stopped from sharing our opinions about this group. I'm almost afraid to point out the guild name for fear of this post being deleted as well, but the guild in question is "<removed>". [ Post edited by Malkorix ] |

Actually, "calling out" other players or guilds is not sharing one's opinion, per se, but potentially a form of harassment. After all, it's impossible for your forum audience to confirm what is said, and it would be all too easy for one player to attack another with false accusations. Our forum policies are designed in part to prevent an individual or in-game group from becoming a target for harassment.
