There was a thread about this in the General forum but it got deleted.

My nominee is:

Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Unbeliever:

Lord Foul's Bane
The Illearth War
The Power that Preserves

Because you have to love a hero with a good heart, who also happens to be a leper, outcast, misanthrope and %!@%#%. <-- That censored word means "a person who forces someone to have intimate relations."

That's a tough one. Maybe Urth of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe, but that's the most recent I've been reading. There are lots of series I could name.

Ender's Game > all

I'd have to say that is my all time favorite Sci-Fi series. Hands down. For Fantasy Urth of the New Sun so far has been great.

Don't forget the Amber series by Roger Zelazny. I loved that series.
