I tried to install this new "tool patch" and got the error: The file "Data\enUS\base-enUS.MPQ" could not be found. I have tried a repair, i tried to rename the file, but couldn't find it. I'm using vista 64 and am running it with full permission.

Hi Slimeslime,

Missing the base-enUS.MPQ file isn't a good thing. Nothing that I know of can remove it. You can try reverting the game and repatch it from the 3.0.1 state but I don't think it'll restore the base-enUS.MPQ file. To revert the game, go to your World of Warcraft\Data\ folder and delete the patch.MPQ file. If you have patch-2.MPQ and patch-3.MPQ, delete those as well. Once those files are gone, go into the enUS (or esMX if you have the Spanish client) and delete the patch-enUS-3.mpq file if it is there. Once those are all gone, go back to the World of Warcraft folder and run the repair utility. Once it's done, you'll have to repatch back to the current version and hopefully that will rebuild the missing file. If that does not work, you will have to remove every World of Warcraft folder and files and then reinstall the game. For best results, install it in a different location.
