Authenticator Issues V.2

I sent the TOU form in two times now and I'm told my names don't match. It's impossible. I've been calling for a week now. A WEEK! And the hold queue isn't even an option. This is ridiculous. The name on my drivers license and my freaking account are the freaking same. What the hell? I've had this account since freaking beta and now, SERIOUSLY? I lose my account now because I lost the authenticator?!

The name currently registered to the account to which you are trying to regain access does not match the name on the ID you've provided. We want to assist you through this, though, and so will be in contact via email soon.

Now, please keep in mind that accounts are now managed through Battle.net. Therefore, the name registered to your Battle.net account will be the one we reference for verification. Is it possible that when you merged your account with Battle.net, that you accidentally entered the wrong name?

Is the Authenticator currently on your account, Cheanne, one that you added yourself? Or was the Authenticator added without your permission/knowledge?

If you are being asked for an authentication code when logging into the game client or Account Management, Cheanne, but did not personally associate an Authenticator with your account, I'm afraid your account has likely been compromised. =/ Unfortunately, this is a very common trend: in many cases of compromise, an unauthorized party will associate an Authenticator with the account in order to prevent the registered user from logging in.

While this must be an incredibly frustrating situation for you, please know that Blizzard's In-Game Support and Account Services department will do all that they can to help you recover from your compromise. This includes recouping items, characters, and currency that were lost as a result.

To begin your recovery process, I'd encourage you two to read through the following guide:

It should answer any questions that you might have about what to do to get your stuff back and what steps you can take to secure your account.

Also, quick note! We can assist with the removal of the unauthorized Authenticator through multiple points of contact:

    1) By phone. Account Services representatives are available 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM PDT and may be reached by phoning 1-800-59-BLIZZARD. International customers may also use the numbers listed here (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20606).

    2) By email. If you are unable to reach our Account Services representatives by phone, you may wish to email billing@blizzard.com.

    3) By post. As with #2, if you are unable to reach our Account Services representatives by phone, you may wish to post within our Technical Support Forum (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?sid=1&forumId=11110) for assistance with unauthorized Authenticator removal. Be sure to read the Authenticator Removal Request FAQ (Authenticator Removal Request FAQ ) before posting, though.

Please note that each of these contacts may not yield an immediate response. We understand that being locked out of your account is frustrating, though, so our representatives will do all that they can to assist you as quickly as possible. :)
