Arena PR recovery Question
by Anchises | 10/09/2008 08:42:18![]() While moving teams around this evening in order to play with some friend's 3v3 I accidentally teamquit my 2v2 through an honest typo. The team rating was 1925 and although my PR was substantially lower because I joined the team when it was in the lower 1800s, it was still quite a significant loss to both me and my priest partner. furthermore, now we have to play EVEN MORE high risk games in order to rebuild the personal rating and face equally rated teams. I petitioned a GM on this matter requesting to have my placement on the team restored as well as my personal rating (1786 as per WoW armory data). However, I was given the typical, "I regret to inform you" spiel. Forgive me, but I can't buy that. Circumstances would be different if I were kicked, the team disbanded, I was asking for PR from a lost game, etc. However, when all the information needed to restore an honest mistake is right at your fingertips, what's holding the process back? I can't bring myself to believe that this sort of a restore isn't possible, or that it is beyond the scope of GM powers to modify my personal rating once my partner invited me back. Is this simply a case of a GM with "don't give a rat's...." syndrome or is the scope of service for GMs really that pathetic? I understand that's a loaded question, but any other wording is simply sugar coating. Additionally, since there is no failsafe for arena teams (ie confirmation dialog) this sort of an issue shouldn't be beyond the plausible "dumb player" clause. I can't be the first this has happened to. Thank you for your time, ~Anchises |

You asked for corroboration on the Game Master's response, and that was it. We're unable to restore lost rating. Game Master ♈ In-Game Support Watson here will tell you that I never can resist a touch of the dramatic. |
