Acct Hacked 2x - GM's Replacing Items
by Deramek | 10/03/2010 19:15:50![]() Long story short my acct was hacked 2x over the weekend with the prior hack getting through my authenticator. After I realized I was hacked for the 2nd time and through the device I didn't log on WoW. I went to a secure computer and changed my password then ran to Best Buy and purchased Windows 7. (I was running Vista which I hated and figured if I was going to format my hard drive I would get the new OS) So I did a total format, installed Windows 7, added 4 security programs, installed WoW. I log into the game and my toons were given "most" of their items back from the GM service. My Shammy is missing all her arena points (over 500 prior to Tuesday's downtime) and all of her honor. She had about 60k in honor and now has zero. My Hunter is still walking around in his bare feet. 1 Silver and his inventory and bank haven't been restored. I've put in tickets and they are ignored. The last ticket was changed from OPEN to "Please Give Us Your Survey" - No communication with a GM and nothing is in my in game mailbox. This toon is from my 2nd account. The problems I'm describing are from my "Main" account. Please advise. |

It's possible that your main account is already in queue for full restoration - in some cases restoration comes in two stages - an initial restoration, then a more complete restoration after some investigation has been performed. If you tell me the name and realm of a character on the affected account, I might be in a position to provide further insight. Our staff do not ignore petitions, though, and I'd also like to have a look to try to help determine which responses you've already received. D'ye like dags? Sure, you like dogs! It looks as though your restoration is 'complete', but if you still feel that there are items or currency missing from your characters, please feel free to email wowgm@blizzard.com to request further specific restoration, and our staff will be happy to look into that for you.
