hi GMs, honestly i'm really upset. i just gave my friend a battle chest as a gift days ago and today my friend received an email that its closed. i want to know the reason why.
the email said about 3rd party. what does that mean? yesterday he receive an ingame message from blizz saying something about pumping. i dont really understand what happened.

Well, we really need to hear from the player in question, but here is some generic information that may be useful to pass along.

Sounds like that message was an ingame version of a phish. Did your friend give away their login information? If so, they've been compromised and this action is the result of that.

If a Game Master ever messages you ingame, you'll see a little blue Blizzard logo by our name - and it normally pops up in a separate chat window as well.

A good place to start with this one may be Account Administration if there has been an account closure. Your friend needs to email from the account's registered email address to wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com.

Also, please share with them the fact we will NEVER ask for a password in an email - a tell - anything like that. We can't see those, we have zero use for them, WE will never ask for that information.

Those are ALWAYS scams. You can see them in chat - get them in ingame mail, or in tells.

A hyphen in a URL is NOT the same as a period in the structure of a domain name. That of course wasn't a Blizzard website.

You also need to be careful with any emails you receive in your real world email. Phishes are common and some of them can look very authentic.
