A Problem I Can't Figure Out...

If anyone can help me out on this I'd very much appreciate it. I looked at other posts here on the forums and can't seem to find any suggested solutions that will help me and I have tried quite a few of them. Nothing is working. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the patch as far as I can tell (I'm no techno-genius).

Ok, so here's what's going on. I tried to log into the game on Friday and the patch stopped at 70% and I got a message that suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I tried that and it took me about 7 or 8 tries before I could get the game to reinstall properly. Then I tried logging in again and it seemed to be working. It installed several different patches (more than once) and I was able to log in and even play the game.

I played yesterday without any problems. But when I tried to log in today I got another patch (or probably the same patch) trying to install. It got to about 70% (again) and this error popped up: PATCH ABORTED: This update requires "WoW.exe" version 3.3.3.11685. You have an older version, 3.3.2.11403.

I don't know what this means and can't find a solution to this problem. If there is one out there please help!

Hi Amavrani,

You're not playing on a computer that has something like Microsoft Windows SteadyState (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/sharedaccess/default.mspx) installed or did any form of system restore, did you? That would revert the game back to the older version and confuse the patches. What operating system are you running, and where did you install the game?
