A Letter

I know your are clearly trying to help. But statements like this one clearly make people question if you guys play the same game sometimes.

When using Holy Fire, people have noticed that it looks like a resurrection spell when you start to cast it. This is meant to be like this and is not a bug. Most spells of a type have the same or similiar starting casts but it's the finisher that makes it more unique from each other. The good part about it is that it might confuse the enemy into wondering who you are casting resurrection on instead of realizing there is a shot of holy fire about to go zipping down their spine. - Nethaera

2 huge flaws in this logic
1. You can't cast resurrection in combat
2. Enemy can see your cast bars

In a few weeks i turn 33. I'm not one of those wtfpwn kids running around. I spent a year and half being shadow doing 5 nights a week in a raiding guild as a healer. Recently i helped form a guild and i took the full shadow raid spot. Thank you for giving Shadow Priest the new tools to be the support class i always hoped we could be. While all the trees don't have the same synergy that druid trees do shadow is still better off then it once was for raiding.

A few things we do need
70% chance shadow spells are not interupted talent.

Last night during the curator fight i would keep getting interuptted trying the mind flay his adds. Shield lets me cast not lose casting timebut it cost 600 mana per cast and its a very mana intensive fight already.

I have 9 pts in threat reduction talents and Ve still pulls aggro a decent amount. I not sure it supposed to work this way already but Overheal by ve should not cause aggro only if it actually heals some damage.

When a healer pulls aggro in a multi pull fight and gets hit by valle's and dies in 2 shots. I will drop out of shadowform and help heal. Why don't shadowpriest have a talent that increase our healing by % of how much int we have? Feral druids have the 50% of their str talent increases their healing talent. Or maybe give us Shadow mend with either 4 sec global Or only castable on other people

There is more small tweaks i would love to post but i have to run off to work i will add to this later.

I'm just passing along the word. The main premise is that there are many spells that have the same beginning animation but the ending animation is where the uniqueness comes into play. That is the very foundation of it.

I think that's pretty clear. Smite and any heal start the same way, for example.

I guess what people have a problem with is that when you make a statement about how it might be used to confuse the enemy players in PvP, it sounds like you haven't actually played the game recently. It's pretty much the equivalent about making a post that PW:Shield never gets dispelled in PvP.

This isn't special because you're a Blizzard employee or anything. Any of us would get ridiculed if we posted about something that we should clearly know if we leveled our priests for any reasonable amount of time.

Keep in mind I'm not always relaying my own experiences. Sometimes there is a bit of humor in responses that doesn't always convey itself as well as I'd like. :) Could someone be confused by it? Perhaps someone that doesn't understand priests well or isn't a regular PvPer. I actually should have added a little smiley in there to show a bit of the humor that goes along with the statement. It wasn't meant as a valid tactic that PvPers should be using regularly.
