A fix for vanish, blue thoughts appreciated
by Disasstah | 24/01/2007 11:01:42![]() So everyone knows that vanish is bugged to hell. My friends that don't even play rogues even know it, and enjoy exploiting it when they fight rogues. Anyhow instead of nagging about it, I figured I'd toss out an idea for a possible fix. I know people will think of this as some Naruto rip off, but they can kma. I got the idea from hunters. When we perform vanish could we perhaps have the mechanics for feign death come into play? Perhaps even having the rogue drop a totem that forces opponents targeting the rogue to target the totem instead. This totem would have a .5 second life span and 100 health and would absorb damage done to the rogue while its up. If .5 seconds is to long then perhaps just .25. Just long enough for others to stop autoattacking the rogue and have the totems ability kick in. Is this feasible? Something a programmer could create and impliment in a patch? Or is it to outlandish an idea? Because god knows that this description of vanish is wishful thinking. Vanish Allows the Rogue to vanish from sight, entering an improved Stealth mode, but reducing the speed to X% of normal for Y seconds. Spellcasting against a Rogue that successfully uses Vanish will now be interrupted. Vanish breaks root and snare effects. Vanish cancels spells in progress and missiles in flight if they are being cast at the vanished player. If a DoT is active when you use Vanish, unless it is a snare as well, it will remain and break Vanish the next time it does damage. Vanish removes effects that allow the caster to always remain aware of their target (currently Hunter's Mark and Mind Vision). Thanks for your time. Heres hoping for a blue response. As this post is better fit in our Suggestions Forum, I'll be moving it there at this time. |
